The 2011 whale watching season is upon us! It's been a long, snowy, cold winter in Boston and I don't know about you but I am VERY ready to go spend some time on the ocean! It's looking like the first open trip will be in mid to late May, but I'll know more in a few weeks!
Some good news / bad news for 2011:
This year, due to the higher costs of fuel and boats PTW is going to have to charge more money than previously. It痴 a drag, I know, but each trip will cost a minimum of $300 just to cover the expenses. As before, I知 not out to make any profit, I知 just trying to share my love and knowledge of whales with you and your friends.
But the good news is I値l be able to take a few more people than last year per trip. It looks like I値l be able to take groups of 4 or 5 for each trip this year! What does that mean for you? The most you'll pay for a trip in 2011 is $75 - that may seem like a lot of money, but if you consider that you'll spend a whole day on the ocean - I hope you'll think it's worth it.
A new twist for 2011 - we go out rain or shine! The only thing that will prevent us from going out to see the whales will be wind - wind is a serious pain in the butt when you're looking for whales: EVERY whitecap and wave looks like a humpback AND the rocking brings out the seasickness in all of us.
So how will this work? I値l post available dates on this page or the Facebook page and if you're interested, you'll send me an email and a deposit for the date you have in mind! It痴 that simple!
